Hello
I thought to run this meet-up a little differently given its location in a wine bar.
Everyone will put $10 in the pot and we'll buy a few bottles of the cheaper wines until the kitty runs out. This way, everyone can have a couple of drinks without paying huge amounts of money for just one or two glasses. When it comes to wine I know nothing other than when it tastes good so your input on the day will be very welcome. If you want to stick to water or soda, that's fine too, just please contribute your $10 to be fair to all. The Tasting Room also serves snacks but I think that this should be done on separate checks.
If, by some miracle, there's any money left at the end of the evening we'll tip the waitress and hand the rest over to Sue for her Breast Cancer fundraiser in October. I thought that seemed the fairest way to close the kitty.
Remember - don't drink and drive so try and cadge a lift if you can.
I'm excited to see you all there and (this time) I will be food-poisoning free!
