Okay, so the Pelican has posted this event on their site now - here's the link: http://www.pelicaninn...

Start time: The guy with be on the bonfire at 7pm so the fire should be lit around 6.30ish.

Finding the group: As with last year's event, the darkness makes it incredibly hard to find each other so don’t' definitely plan on finding the group (there's often around 150 people or more there) but I will be carrying a lantern and probably wearing a scarf too (good luck!). Those who went to the pub after last year know how crampted it can be after this event and how long you can wait to be served so, if that's not your thing, just bring some beers (or mulled wine) and chill around the fire for a while (that's my plan)

Parking: Park in the Muir Beach car park and walk the 2 minutes to the pub (the pub car-park fills up VERY fast!)

To bring: A torch, warm clothing and maybe drinks if you are just chilling by the fire

Carpooling: I have at least 3 people interested in carpooling. If you are coming from the city especially and have some space etc, please e/mail me and I'll try to help co-ordinate etc. I'm sure the additional riders won't mind buying you a beer or paying the bridge toll for you!

Hope to see you there!

This was a great event (my first). Really enjoyed it. Learned about it here but forgot to sign up to say I was going along. Took a friend, who also had a good time. Look forward to the next meetup and to getting to know a few new folks.

Just one seat remaining folks ! I will be doing a double pickup in the Sunset district at around 6pm or a tad earlier. Nearest to that route gets the final seat, let me know. I will actually be coming up from Palo Alto that afternoon and will be returning home to the City afterwards, so no return trip south of the 49miles^2 limits - sorry.

Don't make the same mistake we made last year, remove your car from the beach car park after the bonfire or it will get locked in overnight. Oops ! I will be driving there this year, so I have three spare seats at this point for carpooling. I live in Fort Mason in the City. The three closest people that reply to me get the seats ! Don't forget your sparklers !! ( smile ) Mark

We have a 20 month old. If we can make it, we would be bringing him along too. Does anyone know if "The Pelican Inn" is child friendly?
